Job Description

Area FundraiserWe have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Fundraiser to join our busy team at Charlton Farm. We are looking for an individual with the drive to develop income, build relationships, grow event support and initiate opportunities.An exemplary public speaker, you will raise significant awareness of Childrens Hospice South West by achieving demanding speaking engagement and other non-financial and financial targets. Leading volunteer management within the Bristol area, excellent organisationalskills and proven success in a relevant role such as fundraising, or sales is essential.Area Fundraiser Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a fundraising/sales/marketing/events or media role.
  • Proven track record of income generation working to targets and deadlines.
  • Presentations and public speaking to a variety of audiences.
  • Broad understanding of effective regional fundraising techniques.
  • Knowledge of the charity sector.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable:
  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent
  • Member of the Institute of Fundraising
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. as Certificate in Fundraising)
About Childrens Hospice South West (CHSW):An established and successful charity, Childrens Hospice South West (CHSW) provides hospice care for children with life limiting conditions and their families in the South West of England. This Care is delivered across three bases Charlton Farm, Wraxall, NorthSomerset, Little Bridge House, Barnstaple, North Devon and St Austell Cornwall. The CHSW ethos is support the whole family and our current delivery model includes care wherever the child is when they need it most including care at the hospice base, at homeand virtual support.Location: Currently flexible between our Hospice Site in Wraxall (near Bristol) and home basedContract Type: PermanentHours: up to 37 hours per week, will include some weekend and evening working as requiredSalary: £27,109 to £31,828 per annumBenefits: ability to maintain NHS pension or join group pension scheme, free onsite parking, generous holiday entitlement which increases with service, enhanced sick pay scheme, family friendly policies, occupational health, wellbeing and counsellingservices, group life insurance scheme, continuous training and development opportunities, a chance to make a real difference, green agenda, excellent working environment.You may have experience of the following: Fundraiser, Fundraising, Charity, Not for Profit, Third Sector, Business Development, Legacy, Charities, Fundraising Assistant, Fundraising Officer, Events Officer, Events Assistant, Charity Worker, Charity Fundraiser,Charity Fundraising Officer.
