Job Description

This is a super opportunity to join this family-run business who are growing rapidly and enjoy a turnover of around £20m. Founded in the 1940s, this company has prided itself on providing outstanding customer experiences for over 70 years. Now in the handsof a third generation, the company continues to thrive and internal promotion has led to this role of Accounts Assistant becoming available.Day to day duties include

  • Purchase Ledger; setting up supplier accounts, obtaining sign-off to pay invoices from colleagues up to Director level, collating information and preparing the payment run.
  • Sales Ledger; creating invoices and issuing to customers, cash allocation.
  • Payroll; Working with the external payroll provider to facilitate the payroll run and collating the information required.
  • Using Excel on a daily basis including Sumifs and resetting formulas when required. (Please only apply if you are very confident with excel and creating formulas)
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Using Sage Line 50
What are we looking forWe need someone who already has experience of Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Bank Reconciliations and general accounts administration with good excel skills. The ideal candidate will be proactive and able to liaise confidently at all levels within the company.Benefits:This company prides itself on its very low staff turnover which it achieves through valuing every member of their team.
