Job Description

Due to an internal promotion, I have an incredible opportunity for an experienced Sales Team Manager to join a pioneering manufacturing business, established 30 years ago, as part of their Regional Commercial division at their office in Woolston Grange,Warrington. The business connects innovation and design with nature to redefine natural flooring in the UK, and beyond. Their sustainable, high-quality wood flooring is loved by homeowners, designers and architects alike.THE ROLEThe new Sales Team Manager will be responsible for driving sales and growing the client base within their team of Internal Sales Executives. This is an office-based role, with occasional travel to the London design centre and to conferences/trade shows.Reporting to the Global Sales Director, you will manage a team of six with a focus on the following key areas:

  • Forecasting and managing budgets
  • Driving sales and territory growth and creating plans and strategies to achieve sales targets
  • Setting and monitoring KPIs and targets for your team
  • Driving business development and new client acquisition
  • Creating a clear team direction
  • Problem solving and handling any escalated issues to ensure complete client satisfaction
  • Ensuring that the client journeys are managed by your team, and that the highest levels of care and service are provided
  • Managing performance and ensuring that your team have all of the skills tools they need to succeed through ongoing support and training/development
  • Managing client relationships and developing strong relationships
  • Working with key stake holders and collaborating with the wider leadership team
ABOUT YOUYou will be an experienced Sales Team Manager, either in a similar telesales/internal sales environment or out in the field, as well as:
  • A strong background in B2B sales
  • Experience in a similar role, managing a team of sales executives
  • Experience of dealing with commercial clientsdealing with trade, architects, project designers in a similar environment is desirable
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
  • A natural leader who creates a positive environment and is able to motivate a team
  • Experience of managing performance
  • KPI and target setting in a previous role
  • Experience of sales forecasting and pipeline management
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (eg. Salesforce)
  • The drive to succeed and make a real impact on profitability and growth
