* Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues in HGV* Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes , filter replacements* Perform welding and fabrication* Perform thorough inspections of HGVs to identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and other issues. Use diagnostic equipment to assess the condition of engines, transmissions, brakes, and other key components.* Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of moving parts. Follow manufacturers guidelines and maintenance schedules to ensure the vehicles are in optimal working condition.* Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues in HGVs, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, and suspension components. Replace or repair faulty parts and components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.* Perform welding and fabrication work to repair or modify vehicle components, as needed.* Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot electronic and computerized systems in HGVs.* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on each vehicle. Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation required for regulatory compliance.* Ensure that all maintenance and repairs adhere to safety standards and regulations. Keep abreast of industry regulations and standards related to HGV maintenance and repair.* Respond to breakdowns and emergency repair situations, both on-site and on the road, to minimize downtime and keep the fleet operational.* Order, receive, and manage inventory of spare parts and components. Keep track of stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary.* Communicate with drivers and fleet managers to gather information about vehicle issues and discuss repair options. Provide explanations and advice regarding necessary repairs and maintenance.* Stay updated on new technologies and advancements in HGV systems through training programs. Share knowledge and expertise with other technicians, apprentices, or colleagues.* Adhere to environmental regulations regarding the disposal of hazardous materials and waste generated during repairs.
