We have five fantastic opportunities available for Loaders, working at a Leading Local Authority in Greater Manchester. This is a temporary full-time role, initially for 4-5 months.The RoleYour role will be to provide a comprehensive waste collection and recycling service. This will include the collection of recyclable and non-recyclable household waster from properties within the Borough.DutiesTo collect as part of a team, household waste for recycling/disposal within the BoroughAssist the public when and wherever possible, in a courteous and helpful manner at all times.To assist in the promotion of the waste and recycling service, to include distribution of literatureWork in any area or with any crew as directed by the supervisorTo work as part of the Waste Collection and recycling team to ensure that first class Waste Collection and Recycling services are provided to the residents of the Borough.Attend any training course or on the job training, as deemed necessary by the Council. This may include courses outside of normal working hours.Liaise with the team leader and to keep him/her informed of any appropriate issues that might arise as a result of undertaking your day to day duties.To work with minimal supervision and to accept responsibility for the direction of work for other lower skilled operatives.Key Requirements
