Job Description

Position: Engineering Machine Operator Location: WarringtonHours: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm -6amSalary: £10.40 - £11.20 Per Hour + shift allowanceOur client, a global Engineering business, are currently recruiting a fantastic, entry level, Machine Operator role based at their Warrington site.Duties will include:

  • Manufacture of parts within specified customer tolerances
  • Update and report detailed information in respect to all activity via AX system
  • Participate in small group activity and project work
  • Improve right first time quality of the site (OTIF)
  • Read and understand technical drawings, interpret alpha numerical information and ensure parts match information
  • General small repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment
  • Follow and actively improve all site safety and quality standards
Experience:
  • Mechanical appreciation/background or demonstrable understanding
  • Can read a DTI and understand TIR
  • Can set a cylindrical grinder up to 4500mm using a DTI to set a job within 10m
  • Can use Micrometer accurately
  • Demonstrable experience of using non-CNC Cylindrical Grinder techniques
  • Experience of ceramic grinding (not essential but preferred)
  • Attention to detail and good problem solving skills
  • Willingness to develop and embrace IT and new technologies in this area.
  • Willingness to embrace change and continuous improvement methods
  • FLT license (not essential but preferred)
