This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has the desire to pursue a career within a preventative engineering environment but not yet had that job opportunity. Youll becomepart of an embedded team at one of our customer locations delivering Engineering Support Service, which includes a preventive corrosion control regime in an austere marine environment.Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Follow a prescriptive programme to carry out preventative maintenance to mitigate corrosion.
• Ensure that each asset is cleaned annually to mitigate corrosion
• Provide technical assessment and interpretation of corrosion / inspection monitoring data, including corrosion anomalies and failures analysis
• Provide supporting evidence for periodic reports on the corrosion status of systems
• Note: this role requires sustained working outdoors often at height using pressure washer devices, air compressors and power tools.

The Corrosion Technician role is full-time and based onsite in Bude.Skills and experience of the Corrosion Technician

• Basic knowledge of corrosion and corrosion control is desirable, however full training will be provided
• Willing and able to perform a variety of corrosion related tasks in an austere marine environment
• The ability to work at height and/or in austere conditions, with confidence
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint etc); Adobe Acrobat and other productivity tools.
• Knowledge of the Defence and Security industry (desirable)
• Full UK Driving licence
