The University of Wolverhampton Students Union is on a mission to empower and support approximately 22,000 students across three diverse campuses. Many of these students have already surmounted multiple systemic barriers to reach university, and its theirresponsibility to amplify their voices, ensuring they receive the support and guidance they need to make the most of their university experience and achieve their full potential.Now, theyre seeking a dedicated, proactive, and passionate individual to take the helm as the Student Voice Manager. Key Responsibilities:As the Student Voice Manager, you will lead a team of staff and volunteers, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather and report on invaluable student feedback. Your role will encompass:
  • Initiating and overseeing projects that drive positive change.
  • Promoting and overseeing the unions democratic processes.
  • Championing the diverse needs of students.
  • Influencing policy changes that benefit the student community.
This role isnt just about overseeing; its about getting actively involved and making a tangible difference.Qualifications and Skills:To thrive in this role, youll need to bring the following qualifications and attributes to the table:
  • An understanding of participation and engagement issues, particularly in the Higher Education and/or voluntary sectors.
  • Proven experience in conducting effective feedback gathering exercises.
  • A constructive and cooperative approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Previous experience in managing and leading others.
  • The ability to build constructive relationships within a diverse group of individuals.
