We have a new opportunity for a Progression Co-ordinator to join our team based in Wolverhampton. You will join us on a full-time basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £18,000 - £26,000 per annum.Juniper is an independent established training provider who have been assisting young people to move forward and achieve for 35 years. Delivering Traineeships, Study Programmes and Apprenticeships we help young people across the country to take positive steps forward in their lives.As our Progression Co-ordinator you will:- Market, advertise and ‘sell’ students to potential employers and businesses for work experience, jobs, apprenticeships and further education opportunities- Set, manage and monitor students’ Study Programmes- Undertake regular in-centre and placement reviews to measure students’ progress- Have a bank of at least 50 live employers form a selection of career sectors and source work-experience placements for all students- Undertake robust risk assessments- Ensure students have access to good quality career guidance- Progress students into positive destinations – apprenticeships, employment or further education- Deliver employability based workshops to groups as appropriateHealth and well-being benefits we offer our people:- JFit - this is a scheme where employees participate in an exercise of their choice for 45 minutes, for 3 times a week, over a year (April to March) and earn extra annual leave for simply taking part- Health Shields - Cashback on health needs, such as dental, physiotherapy, eye tests and prescriptions- EAP – Our scheme to help any employees with any personal problems that may impact their health- Critical Illness Cover- Flexi Holidays – Including an extra day off for your birthday!- Cycle to work – We offer the opportunity for all staff to participate in the fantastic Cycle to Work schemeKey responsibilities as our Progression Co-ordinator will be to:- Ensure a planned and professional approach to selling the programme and students to potential businesses and organisations- Understand and liaise with your Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP) and other partners who can support with your knowledge and understanding of opportunities for students- Understand your local Labour Market Information and disseminate this information to staff and students- Carry out effective marketing to local employers to ensure sufficient work-experience placements are recruited and retained, including: cold-calling, employer visits, recruitment fairs, local events and networking, ensuring the database is maintained and relationships managed to gain further business- Ensure all students have a purposeful, individualised learning plan; ensuring appropriate work-experience activities are planned as a key component to the course and students are appropriately prepared before entering their work experience placement- Assist and empower students to fulfil their potential by increasing expectations and raising aspirations- Ensure all students progress to a positive destinationSkills and abilities, we’re looking for in ourProgression Co-ordinator:- Level 2 English & Maths (or working at)- Excellent communicator- Persuade & influence others and deal with conflict/challenging behaviour- Highly motivated- Innovative & solution focused- Remain positive, with a bubbly, engaging personality- Develop others- Excellent organisation & planning skills- To work on own initiative- To be a Juniper ambassador- Able to build a rapport with target group but also communicate professionally with employers/progression sourcesIf you would like to join our team as our new Progression Co-ordinator then please click ‘apply’ today – don’t miss out, we’d love to hear from you!
