This is a permanent position from day one. Immediate interviews can be arranged for suitable applicants.An industry-leading manufacturer is looking for an Industrial Engineer to join its burgeoning team in the West Midlands. The Specialist Industrial Engineer interfaces with senior leadership, program management, technical experts, and functional leadership to drive performance improvements. The Industrial Engineer also conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction,lead time reduction, and production record systems. The successful candidate will provide direct shop floor support including capacity planning, variation analyses, productivity improvements and cell design. Primary Responsibilities: Utilise lean tools and methodology to drive performance improvements and minimize waste within manufacturing processes Work cross functionally to achieve success and support site level improvements targets and macro plan milestones Collaborate vertically and horizontally across the business to increase throughput, decrease days to manufacture and improve efficiency Establish methods for maximum utilisation of production facilities and personnelBasic Qualifications: Bachelors degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required Preferred Qualifications: Industrial Engineering experience Experience using continuous improvement tools including LEAN, ACE, SixSigma, etc. Object oriented coding experience e.g., Visual Studio, Visual Basic, Python, R SAP experience Discrete simulation modeling (FlexSim, Arena, Simeio, etc) Microsoft Office experience including advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Experience leveraging influencing, interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to drive resultsThe above is a selection of responsibilities, there may be other tasks not listed that will be expected to support the changing business needs.If you feel you have the necessary credentials for this role, please attach your CV via the advert.
