Job Description

Murray Myers Recruitment are very pleased to be assisting a large engineering manufacturer based in Wolverhampton with their recruitment for a Goods In Inspector (Quality)The purpose of this role is to ensure that all goods being delivered are received in a controlled and safe condition whilst complying with the project specific and general purchase order requirements.Where product is non-conforming then product is to be identified, controlled, managed and communicated in line with company processes to ensure remedial and correction actions are taken.Goods Inward Duties:-

  • Dealing with all goods received
  • Creating and updating NCRs on the supplier portal in a concurrent manner
  • Dealing with the return of non-Conforming products and associated documentation
  • Identification and quarantining goods that do not confirm to the purchase order requirements
  • Ensure that stock control/inventory is up to date
Inspection Duties:-
  • Ensure that the goods inward and inspection PLOW (Plan of week) and PLOM (Plan of the month) reflect the business needs and priorities
  • To effectively undertake and manage received goods conformity verification and to communicate the outcome of such product conformity status to all stakeholders.
  • Where product is non-conforming then product is to be identified, controlled, managed and communicated in line with company processes to ensure remedial and corrective actions are taken.
  • Carrying out sample inspections according to contractual requirements based on risk and importance
  • Use of mechanical and electronic measurement and metrology equipment eg micrometers, gauges, CMM, shadowgraph, Faro Arm
Essential Skills Required:-
  • 3-5 yrs working in a manufacturing inspection environment
  • 3-5 yrs working in a goods in environment
  • Knowledge and principles of non-conforming product management
  • Forklift Truck and Overhead Crane Operator
  • Highly experience in handling and processing data
Salary 25-32K
