Job Description

Credit Controller | Wolverhampton| Permanent| 37 hours per week | £23,000 - £26,000 Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to work for a well-established business located in Wolverhampton, joining their team on a permanent basis. The Company Seymour John have partnered exclusively with a well-established financial institution in Wolverhampton, who are looking to recruit a well-organised, dynamic Credit Controller to handle the day-to-day pursuit of missed payments in accordance with the companiespolicies and procedures.The OpportunityOverall duties of the role include:

  • Day to day pursuit of missed payments in accordance with the firm’s policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions with customers and relevant third parties
  • Respond to queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and monitor their collection
  • Work with colleagues to assist with the collection of payments
  • Commence and follow through any legal proceedings as and when required
  • Liaise with solicitors, courts, bailiffs, insolvency practitioners, debt counsellors and any other appropriate third parties
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team
  • Work to a budget for costs allocated for credit control activities
  • Attend regular work planning reviews and contribute to the strategic direction of the business
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement and development of all systems and processes.
This role is hybrid working once comfortable with all duties and can work independently. Personal ProfileWe are looking to speak with experienced Credit Controllers who have a dynamic and proactive approach to their work. Skills that we are looking for include being able to listen and negotiate efficiently with customers, being patient and calm in challengingsituations and always having good attention to detail.
