Job Description

Are you a Continuous Improvement Engineer looking to join a forward-thinking business If so, this could be the perfect role for you.A cutting-edge Wolverhampton-based business is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of long-term engineering strategies to ensure continual improvement of functions and the delivery of best practice.Main duties will include:

  • Act as a subject matter expert for process design, material flow and layout.
  • Work collaboratively with other disciplines in the delivery of plant projects including but not limited to project management, IT and operations.
  • Be able to work independently on the delivery of work packages within a project environment.
  • Work in line with group and regional standards and processes.
  • Act as key interface with client on development projects and issue.
  • Continually monitor and review headcount plan versus actual to ensure alignment is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure appropriate controls and approval processes are strictly enforced for process changes.
  • Ensure root cause analysis is completed where appropriate and appropriate corrective measures are implemented.
  • Drive the continuous improvement strategy onsite including delivery of measurable improvements in efficiency and cost saving.
  • Ensure delivery of cost saving initiatives of at least 5% year on year through continuous improvement function.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, operations, or a related field, with a minimum of three years’ experience in a continuous improvement role. You will need to have strong problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and excellent communicationskills. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and experience with process mapping and other improvement methodologies is essential. Along with strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel & PowerPoint. Familiarity of AutoCAD would be an advantage & SAP/Warehousemanagement system.Working on their day shift: Mon-Thurs 07:00-15:30 Fri 07:00-14:30Further training on company policies & procedures will be given.You will be rewarded with a competitive salary and a range of benefits including:
