Job Description

Cleaning Assistants are needed in Wolverhampton ASAP!We pay £10.79 per hour with flexible shifts patterns available. You will be cleaning before and after school times, and shifts range from 2-3 hours long.

Our client, the City of Wolverhampton Council, is looking for team members to join their cleaning team ASAP. You will be part of a team that cleans a variety of premises across Wolverhampton, including schools, colleges, and Council office buildings. Fulltraining will be provided, by the council, for all new starters. We have shifts available with immediate start dates, and no experience is required.Shift times: Before school: 6.30/7am - 8.30/9.00am, and after school: 3.00pm - 6.00pm and 3.30pm - 6.30pm.As most of our work is in Schools and Colleges, we are required by law to process a DBS check on you. We will also ask you to complete a basic COSHH test (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health). All job offers are subject to these two requirements beingmet.What will your duties be as a Cleaning Assistant
  • Collect and bag up all refuse and deliver to collection points or bin areas.
  • Floor maintenance including the use of machinery to clean all hard floors including, concrete, vinyl, wood, etc., and all carpeted floors.
  • Damp dust all furniture and fittings, and all radiators, pipes, and ledges.
  • To clean all toilets, washrooms and sluice rooms, laundry rooms.
  • To replenish all toilet requisites e.g., hand towels, rubbish sacks, etc.
  • To participate in training courses as required.
  • To work as part of a cleaning team.
  • Maintain cleaning materials and equipment in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Report any faults in the machinery or the building fabrics to the cleaning supervisor.
  • Ensuring safe working methods are adhered to at all times.
