Job Description

Job title: Aircraft Assembly Test TechnicianSalary Range: £33,647.08 Per annumHours: Days - 37 hours per week. Possibly moving onto two shifts Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands 12 Month fixed term contract working for a leading Aviation/Aerospace design and development client. An Aircraft Assembly Test Technician is required with knowledge of reading engineering drawings, complete quality audits, take responsibility for various aspects of the A&T process including cleaning, strip, assembly and flow matching carrying out precision assembly of Valves, Manifolds and/or Actuators. Ex-military apprentice trained engineers/Technicians would be well received.Due to ongoing new projects this client based in Wolverhampton requires a dynamic, leading Aircraft Assembly Test Technician on a 12-month fixed term contract. As the Aircraft Assembly Test Technician, you will be required to:

  • Perform precision assembly of Valves, Manifolds and/or Actuators.
  • Working from engineering drawings, complete quality audits and take responsibility for various aspects of the Assembly & Test process including cleaning, strip, assembly and flow matching.
  • Regularly use a range of hand tools, gauges and measuring equipment working to stringent quality standards.
  • Involved in diagnostics and so the ability to problem solve will be imperative.

  • The Aircraft Assembly Test Technician should have the following skills or experience:
  • Formal engineering/ craft apprenticeship
  • Some experience of Assembly and Test within the Aerospace or related industry
  • Experience of high precision assembly and self-certification
  • Understanding of basic hydraulic and electrical /electronic schematic drawings
  • Ability to perform strip examinations and write in depth failure reports, under engineering instruction
  • Apprenticeship in an Industrial Environment
