Job Description

We are an independent family run business based in the beautiful courtyard of Oakedge Park, Staffordshire. We serve speciality coffee, breakfast and lunch which changes weekly, a range of home made cakes and alcoholic beverages.We host a gourmet evening once a month which is inspired by the chefs.We are looking to grow our team with a commis chef/chef de partie looking to develop their skills further. We use a variety of fresh and local ingredients, with a regular changing menu. You will also have the opportunity of working along side two highlyskilled experienced chefs!This is an ideal role for someone looking for a great work-life balance as we are predominantly open day time hours.The Role:

• Ensure all food is prepped and ready for service in the morning
• Produce high standard food for all guests
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen
• Able to cook food in a timely manner whilst maintaining a high standard of food
• Cooking and preparing breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea
• Efficient stock rotation.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management
• Quick learner and able to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to multitask

Requirements:

• Experience working as a chef/cook in a kitchen environment is preferred
• Excellent time management skills
• Confident and enthusiastic attitude towards working
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Be eager to learn new skills
