As part of the finance entity, we are trusted advisors to the business as it redefines how they plan and perform. As an Auditor at bp you will be deliver audits across different bp entities, with a focus on digital and cyber security. The role also presents opportunities to contribute to the continuous improvement of the internal audit function.Our finance professionals play a vital role in creating value and managing risk as we reimagine energy. If you have experience with IT, cyber or risk management this could be a fantastic role for you! In-house training will be provided for you to develop auditing, business and leadership skills.Key accountabilitiesAs an audit team member you will:
  • Conduct audit work in line with internal audits methodology in the areas of IT general controls, IT service management, system implementations, infrastructure, cyber security and regulatory compliance
  • Utilize analytical tools to assess data and improve audit effectiveness
  • Support the audit Lead and other team members as required to ensure effective and timely audit delivery;
  • Engage with business stakeholders professionally and sensitively, and act as an ambassador for internal audit.
  • Uphold bp values & behaviours, diversity, equity & inclusion, health & safety, ethics & compliance in alignment with the code of conduct.
Essential education:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • An externally recognised IT accreditation (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM, ITIL or related field)
Essential experience and job requirements:
  • Relevant IT/cyber risk and control experience within bp, a similar company or professional services organization
  • Knowledge and understanding of current and emerging IT risk trends, threats, vulnerabilities and mitigations
  • Audit experience including IT general controls, IT service management, system implementations, infrastructure, cyber security and regulatory compliance
  • A proven track record of audit delivery, risk and controls projects or services
  • The ability to work independently and manage uncertainty
  • The ability to learn quickly and identify key risks and controls in business and digital environments;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to land challenging messages.
Desirable criteria:
  • Experience with Agile working practices
  • Experience with data analytical and visualization tools in audit testing
