Job Description

I am currently working with a specialist building and architectural acoustic consultancy who are established within the consultancy field and have been providing expert advice for over 50 years. This consultancy are acoustic specialists and are one of themost well-respected independent building acoustics consultancies in the UK. You will be sitting alongside 20 expert acousticians, working on grand projects across multiple industries which include entertainment, culture, and media.Responsibilities of a Senior Acoustic Consultant:

  • Sound insulation design.
  • Acoustic surveys, benchmarking and commissioning.
  • Room acoustics design and reverberation control.
  • Venue, performance space and arena/stadium design.
  • Structural vibration isolation and dynamics.
  • Control of external noise break-in and façade & ventilation design.
  • Design and assessment of internal and external building services noise and vibration.
  • Sound system, public address and voice alarm design.
Requirements for a Senior Acoustic Consultant:
  • Experience in job-leading large-scale projects in a timely manner and within budget.
  • A team player who loves to collaborate with fellow acousticians and other disciplines.
  • A good understanding of room acoustic/sound system modelling software such as ODEON, EASE and CATT.
  • Strong team player capability, with the potential to line manage more junior team members.
  • Understanding of relevant policy and regulation.
  • Understanding of architectural studies such as sightlines, structural support, space planning, cableways, power and cooling.
  • A strong understanding of BIM including experience in Revit.
