Job Description

Role: Interim Financial ControllerGuide duration: 6 monthsLocation: SurreyOur client, a leading specialist SME manufacturer of advanced technologies across an array of uses and sectors are looking for an experienced, qualified finance professional to help them ensure systems integrity following an implementation, prepare for and help deliver financial year end as well as facilitate transition to a shared service model.Key Deliverables:

  • Full review of accounting records - reconciliations and corrections as required - in conjunction with stakeholders and systems consultant
  • Manage the statutory accounts process, including liaison with external auditors
  • Mentor and manage the small finance team as well as facilitating the move to a shared service model
  • Others include Corporation Tax process, VAT reporting, review financial controls
    • Person Profile:
  • Accomplished, qualified (ICAEW or ACCA) interim finance professional
  • A self-sufficient, hands-on’ team-player with a delivery mindset
  • Current and detailed knowledge and experience of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements
  • Extensive finance experience within manufacturing businesses
  • Highly competent super-user (ideally) of ERP within a manufacturing environment - likely to have systems implementation experience - certainly at comfortable with data and advanced excel techniques
