Job Description

NX3 Technologies is a multinational software services provider for students with learning difficulties in the North American and UK education markets. Our customer base consists of more than 300 higher education institutes and thousands of students all over the world are using our tech-based accessibility support services.We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our fast-growing Portsmouth and Surrey based development team working on our range of innovative EdTech solutions and services, including web and mobile applications, real-time data processing, and our online classroom and AI projects.You will report directly to CTO and work alongside other teams - including our Canadian team where possible - to deliver high quality applications with genuine care and focus on customer experience. You will be expected to take an active role in design and development discussions and be able to work well collaboratively. You should be self-motivated and take great pride in your work. Technical Skills The senior developer role needs to have strong coding fundamentals:

  • Proficient in web technologies, especially PHP and Node.js
  • Strong experience in building and utilising API’s with Express, Koa, Laravel, etc
  • Experience with frontend JavaScript frameworks like React
  • Understand setting up and maintaining cluster infrastructure in AWS, especially working with container-based architecture using docker and docker compose
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps, experience in Terraform is also preferential
  • Experience with complex applications and web application integration

  • Communicating and collaborating eectively with other team members remotely
  • Creating and understanding project briefs and working to a scheduled plan
  • Supporting team members on other projects when necessary
  • Consistently delivering high quality work
  • Taking great care in the experience of our customers

    • Most work can be done remotely with regular online meetings. Working on site and meeting face to face is not a requirement at the moment. Subject to any coronavirus guidelines, this may change in the future, but we are very flexible on the balance between working at home and in the office. We have two offices located in Portsmouth and Woking with access to great amenities. The ideal candidate will be available to start as soon as possible or at least within a three-month timeframe.We are unable to provide sponsorship for work permits at this time.
