Job Description

With sales revenues over 3 billion Euros, operations across five continents, 19 world-class production facilities, 10,000 employees and 70 global brands being sold into more than 90 markets, Asahi Europe International (AEI) delivers incredible consumer value into the category and aims to change the way people think about beer.We are looking for a Mandarin speaking Assistant Financial Accountant to join our established Global Finance Shared Service Centre. You will be part of our Asian finance team, providing accounting and reporting support to the Asahi China, Taiwan and Korea entities, from the day to day financial issues impacting these companies, budget / profit forecasts, audits to the month end financial reporting process.**Please note this is a Mandarin speaking accountancy role. Candidates must speak fluent Mandarin. Unfortunately we are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.Key accountabilities

  • Preparing month end accruals journals and schedules.
  • Assisting with production of P&Ls and flash pack and collation of additional analysis from commercial team.
  • Preparing monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Creating intercompany recharges.
  • Performing Intercompany reconciliations and confirmations.
  • Uploading and reconciling all daily Bank and Cash files.
  • Assisting with month end Internal Audit files.
  • Posting Treasury Accounting journals.
  • Assisting with collation of the annual budget and Profit Forecast.
  • Preparing finance budget schedules including P&Ls and profit analysis.
  • Collating Revenue and Royalty information from across the Asahi markets. Posting accruals and raising invoices.
  • Agreeing intercompany royalty balances.
  • Assisting in preparation of statutory accounts under HK GAAP.
  • Assisting with year end audit queries.
  • Assisting with year end tax computation and return.
  • Ad hoc projects.
  • Systems and process improvements.
    • Your Ideal Background
  • Fluent Mandarin Speaker
  • Graduate calibre with some post education demonstrable junior accountancy, accounts payable or similar experience within a related finance role
  • Part qualified, or due to embark on professional finance qualifications, for which we will support.
  • Good Excel and PC skills with a real, provable aptitude for understanding, mastering and owning payables and expense systems
  • Positive and proactive work ethic, with a can do’ attitude
  • Good organisational skills and an ability to prioritise workload appropriately
  • Helps to maintain a collaborative team environment, and has a proactive approach to problem solving
