Our Client, a leading engineering and environmental consultancy, specialising in property, transport and environmental projects are experiencing a high increase in workload and currently have an urgent requirement for a suitably qualified Acoustic Consultantto assist their team based near Woking. This multidisciplinary consultancy provides a wide range of acoustic services including planning and noise assessments, architectural and building, and noise and vibration support for construction sites. The successfulapplicant will have previous acoustic consultancy experience and a strong background in Building and/or Environmental Acoustics. In return, you will have access to a prestigious client base both in public and private sectors across the UK and abroad and joinone of the largest global teams of acoustic specialists in the field. ExperienceHighly organised and IT literate Exhibit excellent communication skills Ability to write fluent and intelligible reports, placing a high emphasis on accuracy and consistency Personal experience of Noise Modeling using a recognized software package Commercially aware and team player Good communication and client liaison skills Specialist understanding of the required standards and regulations Full driving license Duties Measurement surveys and reportingAdvice on legislation Prediction and measurement of transportation noise Planning conditions - compliance and negotiation Noise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment) Public Inquiries- expert witness presentations Liaise with consultants, engineers and architects Writing high quality reports Façade design to control external noise intrusion Sound insulation and measurement Industrial and commercial noise control Consultation with Environmental Health Officers including advising on the appropriate use of planning conditions Sound insulation testing and advice on remedial treatment Assessment of internal acoustic performance of buildings Undertake noise assessment site visits all over the UK Contribute to group expansion and develop and maintain business through networking, contact nurturing and presentations Projects Delivering a number of exciting and substantial projects within the divisions of transportation, construction, manufacturing, retail, waste disposal, recycling and gas/energy.
