Wittering, PeterboroughCirca Salary £20,900 per annumPermanent, Full Time (working 40 hours per week)A place for children to find their feet.The roleRAF Wittering is a purpose built nursery in the village of Wittering for children aged 3 months to 5 years., we give children the chance to grow in confidence in a safe, stimulating and fun learningenvironment.We are looking for a Room Leader with Forest School experience to join our team of childcare professionals. You will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating a curriculumappropriate to the age group and individual needs of the child.This is a great opportunity for someone with a serious passion for outdoor learning (and not afraid to get their hands dirty!)You will make a difference by:- Leading the staff within the room on providing learning programmes for individual or groups.- Preparing and supervisingdedicated areas/rooms within the setting on specific working patterns through planning, monitoring of outcomes.- Being a general outdoor play enthusiast(interested in Forest Schooling methods) * Confident dealing with health & safety and safeguarding of children.You will need:-Level 3 earlyyears and childcare qualification e.g. NNEB, CACHE, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education.- Forest School experience or qualification will be an advantage but not essential as training can be provided.-A thorough knowledge of childrens developmental needs from 0 to 5 years.-Experience working and leading in an early year setting.-Strong planning, observation and reflection of children and theirlearning.
