Job Description

Vacancy: Part Time Bookkeeper (QBE, IFA)PartTime/Full Time: Part TimeHours: 20 Hours per week (Between 9am-6pm, Monday - Friday)Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 pro rata (Negotiable)Benefits:28 Days Annual Leave Entitlement (including Bank Holidays) (pro rata)After 6 months probationary period: access to Company Private Health Insurance SchemeAfter 2 years service, access to: Company Bonus Scheme & Paid Sick LeaveQualifying Criteria:

  • UK based applicants only
  • 3 years experience in property industry.
  • Clean driving license and own vehicle.
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong people and communication skills
  • Perform well under pressure
  • Able to work independently, achieve goals and meet timelines
Essential Skills:
  • Proficient with Xero and Microsoft Office
  • Broad knowledge of payroll
  • VAT partial exemption calculations
  • Annual Accounts draft preparation for Group Structure
As part of the continued growth and expansion of a successful property development and investment company, a vacancy has become available in a medium sized, but highly motivated team of property developers. The employer is a well-established business, whichhas been trading for over 37 years and specialises in residential and mixed use developments.The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and finance function of the group and additional administrative duties as required by the management.The role includes but is not limited to:Assisting in Management Accountant responsibilities:The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
  • Rent invoicing and rent collection
  • Production of monthly management accounts
  • Assisting Cashflow (up to 3 years of forecasting)
  • Accruals
  • Prepayments
  • Journals
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • VAT Returns (including partial VAT exemptions)
  • Payroll and Pensions
  • Year end processes/liaising with external auditors
  • Budgets
  • Development Project Budgeting
  • Liaising with the banks Relationship Managers.
  • Assisting in arranging long term finance and development finance
  • Arranging insurance for properties, developments, vehicles and health
Other Duties:The company may ask the successful candidate to carry out other duties such as:
  • Directors personal accounts and self assessments
  • Other ad-hoc tasks
