Job Description

This role is to cover two sites in HullSite 1 - 3 days 3 nights 3 off - 182 days per yearSite 2 - Monday to Friday days - 28 days per year and no bank holidaysThe cover is for annual leave and sickness. Three month in advance rotas so you are able to plan.**WE WILL PROVIDE TRAINING AND PAY FOR ANY FIRST TIME FRONT LINE SIA LICENSE APPLICANT**Looking for some variety in your job No problem!Securitas is looking to build our already fast-growing security team.The role will cover Hull and surrounding areas. Mileage is paid after 10 miles each way of any site within the Branch. You will be covering Gatehouse and Front of house.Working as part of a team, reporting to your shift supervisor on what your day is going to look like and how you going to achieve this.Your working week will be 24 hours per week, Days, Nights, and Weekends.The ideal person will be someone who shares the Securitas Values and is passionate and enthusiastic to help deliver a first-class service.Full on-site training and uniform will be provided with access to lots of online & high street discounts.How you will make an impact as a Security Officer:

  • Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site.
  • Front of House meeting and greeting staff and visitors.
  • Reporting directly to the Deputy Branch Manager.
  • Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV.
  • Conduct external and internal security patrols.
  • Carry out routine tests of security equipment.
  • Maintain all logbooks and records, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conduct effective handover procedures. Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices to management.
  • Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Display an outstanding level of customer service.
  • Display the highest standard of personal presentation to maintain the image of Securitas and the customer.
  • Undertake any other duties as requested by Management.
Essential Skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Be punctual and reliable.
  • Be willing and able to work shifts covering days, nights and week-ends
Some things you will need:
  • A valid SIA Licence
  • Right to work in the UK and have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment
  • A full UK driving licence and own transport due to location of clients sites
