Job Role: Maintenance EngineerJob Type: ContractDuration: 6 MonthsIndustry: FoodLocation: WirralRate: £18.87/hr PAYE, or £24/hr Ltd (Day Shift)ProfileThe Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will provide engineering services to carryout planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvements and modifications to plant and services in order to maximise plant performance and maintain equipment to the required standard.Main Duties:-Improve plant availability, life cycle costs and efficiency-Carry out all engineering work to a high Engineering, Quality, Safety and Hygiene standard-Help support the engineering function in moving to World Class standard in maintenance standards in line with audits and benchmarking-Provide full Technical Engineering support to production function under the leadership of the Area Engineering Managers and by working as part of a multi-functional team-Understand and contribute to achieving the goals of the Factory by efficiently carrying out any assigned Engineering task-Meet customer needs and daily requirements with a ‘right first time’ approach along with maintaining a safe factory environment at an improved ongoing cost.-Work effectively with others as part of a team who together possess all the skills to produce product complying with quality, safety and any other legislative requirementsSkills and Background:-Formal engineering qualification to at least City & Guilds level, NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an electrical and mechanical discipline with corresponding practical experience-Electrical and Mechanical maintenance experience-Experience gained within a food manufacturing environment with a food hygiene qualification would be preferred however strong engineers from any fast-paced manufacturing environment will be considered.-Full understanding of safe working practices and relevant legislation where applicable-Experience of generic engineering equipment is essential, pneumatics, Rockwell Allen Bradley PLCs, Electrical components, Mechanical components.-Needs the ability to clearly understand engineering drawings, symbols and notation.For more information regarding this role please call Mark Davis on or to make an application send a CV to .
