Page Personnel are proud to be working in partnership with a reputable FCA regulated business based in Wirral to recruit a Financial Accountant.Under guidance from the Finance Manager and Finance Director to assist in the production of monthly management information and the year end statutory financial accounts in accordance with the relevant financial standards.Client DetailsOur client offer clear progression and development opportunities within their large, varied accountancy function. They have grown year on year and turnover and will continue to grow post-Covid-19; due to this continued growth they are seeking an FinancialAccountant to join their professional modern offices in Wirral with on site parking and plent of development opportunities.DescriptionThe duties of the Financial Accountant include:

  • Support the annual audit and production of the statutory accounts, including the preparation of various supporting schedules.
  • Responsible for month end revenue recognition and cost of sales for Affinity Schemes and Claims Handling.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the companies monthly Management Information System file and assist in preparation of the monthly Management Accounts Pack for Board of Directors
  • Monthly analysis in preparation for the annual audit and tax computations, including key cost analysis, interest summaries, etc.
  • Periodic accounting for the Commercial Departments P&L investment and business partnering
  • Production of weekly of Escrow deposits returns to customers, ensure the escrow repayment process is operated accurately and recorded on the system and workings for reconciliation purposes.
  • Supporting the preparation and submit VAT returns
  • Monthly (and ad-hoc) inter-company reconciliations
  • Monthly finance costs and depreciation calculations
  • Preparation of the quarterly bad debt review
  • Assist with other statutory reporting
Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably requested by the Finance Manager or Financial ControllerProfileThe successful Financial Accountant will:
  • Have experience relevant experience within a similar role
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Very confident communicating with key stakeholders and internal departments
  • Finalist or part qualified in ACCA/CIMA/AAT
  • A team player
  • Honest & trustworthy
  • Background within an FCA regulated or insurance business - Highly Desirable
  • Strong time management skills
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Always work to a very high standard
