Salary 60-70k DOEHunter Masons client are looking for an experienced Design Manager to join their growing business on a full time permanent basis.Job descriptionIdeally the candidate will have strong knowledge and experience of roofing and cladding systems. Working under the directive of contracts director you will work closely with clients, architects, contracts managers and site staff to produce high quality workingdrawings to aid the build process.The role will include some of the following duties• Manage the existing design team and ensuring all deadlines are met and standards maintained• Manage the design process during the delivery of our package• Manage and implement design department procedures in line with the business requirements• Maintain an overview of all live projects to ensure the delivery of information on time• Check and review all drawings and designs prior to the submission to the client• Work closely with clients and architects to ensure that the design brief for the project is met.• Regularly review and submit drawings through various construction portals• Progress designs within agreed programmes and timescales• Work with the commercial team to ensure all cost variations are captured and submitted.• Work closely with contracts team to ensure that all designs meet current legislationEssential Personal Skill• 5+ years of roofing and cladding design experience• Knowledge of roofing, cladding and façade systems• Attention to detail• Organisation and time management skills• Excellent organizational & communication skills
