Job IntroductionGray Healthcare arelooking for a male support workers to support a gentlemen in his 60s on a 1:1 to basis within his own home in Winterton, Lincoln.The person we support has a diagnosis of autistic spectrum conditions and moderate learning disability.The gentleman we support likes to access the community at times, and likes to visit local towns or Hull City.It is very important to the person we supportthat his staff team support him to complete everyday activitiesand give positive prompts.The person we support has certain routines he wishes to follow, so the staff team would need to respect his routines at all times.This vacancy ranges between 24- 48 hours per week compromising of 12-hour shifts. Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Support Worker, you will be key in supporting adults with complex needs within their own home and within the community. We are looking for positive, compassionate, and caring support workers who have the right values and attitude to grow and developwith Gray healthcare. The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for candidates who share our values, understand the importance of a consistent and empathetic approach, whilst staying calm and professional when presented with a pressurised situation.We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience as a Support Worker within Learning Disabilities and Autism. The person supported has bespoke ways of communicatingwith his support team so will need someone who is patient and has good communicationskills.You will have an interest, motivation, and enthusiasm to develop experience and skills to work with people with complex needs. Ideally you will have at least Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards the qualification within GrayHealthcare.
