Job Description

Adecco are currently recruiting on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary in Winsford for an individual to join their Fleet Services team, undertaking a the role of Stock Controller. You will be working alongside the Fleet Service team and Maintenance teams to ensure that the force hold adequate stock of all relevant spare parts and equipment for police vehicles.This post is initially temporary, with potential for longer term opportunity.Duties of the role include:

  • Vehicle parts/tyres stock control
  • Receiving and logging deliveries
  • Issuing vehicle parts/tyres
  • Tracking and ordering stock
  • Working with 3rd party suppliers to order, track and process invoices for goods
  • Assisting with lots of manual handling
    • The successful applicant must demonstrate the following skills/experience:
  • Identify vehicle parts
  • Experience of handling a large and specialised stock room
  • Use stock control system effectively
  • Confident IT user
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Driving licence
    • The post is working in Winsford HQ, and free on-site parking is available as well as break and canteen facilities.The working hours for this post are 08:00-16:00 Monday to Thursday, and 08:00-15:30 on Friday.Post is subject to a successful security check.Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
