Job Description

MDR Supply Chain Coordinator (Medical Device) WinsfordI am currently recruiting for an MDR Supply Chain Coordinator to join a world leading independent developer and manufacturer based in Winsford.Role responsibilities:To manage supply chain related MDR activities specifically but not exclusive to inventory management and inventory depletion. To manage the relationships with suppliers achieving optimum cost management while ensuring minimum material write and smooth customertransition. Responsible for liaising cross functionally updates and requirements and managing supplier related activities and communication.Key Results Area

  • Purchasing associated KPIs and measures linking to overall Supply Chain objectives.
  • Inventory depletion and inventory write off management and tracking
  • Effective supplier management
  • Effective management of communication and impact to customer order delivery
  • Execution of Purchasing processes through clear, documented standard business processes, meeting set business objectives on, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Clear and concise reporting of MDR inventory current status, cost management updates and supply risk
What will this role involve
  • Management of inventory to MDR compliant material
  • Minimise material write off relating to MDR change
  • Negotiate with suppliers to support minimum material write off
  • Manage specific suppliers performance, ensuring targets for on-time delivery & quality levels are met.
  • Supporting day to day demands of the business including, Expense Purchase Orders
  • Review purchase orders to ensure that vendors fulfil the purchase agreement on delivery.
  • To monitor supplier compliance with purchase order contracts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Working within cross functional teams relating to MDR specific activities.
  • Participation in supply chain risk mitigation to ensure customer orders are achieved during MDR transition.
  • Negotiation and management of specific Supply Agreements.
  • Resolve supply issues, ensuring adequate corrective actions are in place to maintain security of long-term supply.
  • Supplier Management - Chairing of periodic supplier performance / review meetings.
  • Visiting and support of supplier audits on behalf of the Purchasing department when necessary.
  • Work in conjunction with the supply chain manager to manage the procurement of key commodities.
  • Achievement of Operational objectives.
  • Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers who are aligned to the companys needs.
  • Ensure all data associated with Purchasing is kept up to date within Oracle.
  • To support achieving the Balanced Scorecard targets on a monthly basis
Role requirements:
  • The jobholder is expected to use own initiative when necessary, advising the appropriate manager of any action taken.
  • Day to day contact, as appropriate or necessary with all levels of management and staff within all areas of the business.
  • Contact with external Suppliers as necessary, occasional UK/overseas travel will be required.
  • The jobholder will be required to communicate verbally on the telephone and via e-mail with the immediate team, across all areas of the business and external suppliers.
  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
  • cWorking towards, or full member of C.I.P.S.
  • Previous relevant experience in a purchasing role.
  • Experience within the medical or medical device industry would be an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation & communication skills
  • Experience of working with ERP and Microsoft systems
