Job Description

Adecco are proudly recruiting on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary for a Quality Manager to join their Forensic Investigations Department at Cheshire Constabulary HQ in Winsford. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who holds an ISO Quality Management Certificate or would be willing to gain this withinthe first 6 months of employment.This is an exciting permanent opportunity for a motivated and innovative professional, with experience of working within a forensics environment.Salary: £31,434- £37,953 p/aLocation: WinsfordHours: Monday-Friday - flexible office hours, primarily office-basedDuration: Permanent, Full-timeBenefits:

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance to ISO 17025, ISO 17020, ILAC G19 and FSR Codes
  • Advise the Forensic Investigations Senior Management team on quality requirements
  • Undertake audits and inspections of Forensic Investigations for both Cheshire Constabulary and other Forces - in line with the requirements of the Forces Quality Standards.
  • Review auditors findings to ensure quality and make recommendations if required
  • Provide the Head of Forensic Investigations with up-to-date information on the registration and progress of feedback and actions.
  • To be the System Administrator of the QMS, developing or creating new workflows when required and updating organisational charts and users in line with business changes.
  • Manage performance within the department, fostering a positive working environment of continuous improvement
  • Compliance with Data Protection requirements
  • Represent the Force at local, regional and national meetings. Support the Head of Forensic Investigations
Key Skills:
  • Previous experience in disclosures, compliance, and legal environment
  • Level 6 or hold a degree level equivalent experience in a Science Subject
  • Hold an ISO Auditor certificate and ISO Quality Management Certificate or be willing to gain these within the first 6 months
  • Experienced in working with International Standards (ISO) preferably ISO/IEC 17025
  • Quality control/assurance systems with experience working in a forensic environment with supervisory experience
