Job Description

Recruiting a Sous Chef for a prestigious venue. A really lovely opportunity to join an amazing client in the Heart of Windsor A residential conference centre hosting high profile groups of approximately 30 people, exclusive dinners for 70 and drinks receptions for numbers from 30-200. This is an exciting and challenging role, working Monday to Friday and occasional weekends in term time only. 40 weeks per year plus holiday; salary paid in 12 equal payments.Working alongside the Chef Manager and a very small team, this role supports the daily operation of the on-site catering and hospitality requirements. You will need to ensure that best service and food quality are provided, in line with the company and clientethos/requirements. You will have experienced support from your Line Manager, as well as the Operations Manager and Head Office staff. Key responsibilities:* The ability to work alone delivering a service, as well as being a crucial part of a small team.* To ensure that Food Safety, Health and Safety, Allergens Management, company guidelines and policies are always met.* To produce the daily food requirements to high standard and as set by the Chef Manager.* To assist the Chef Manager develop menus and new ways to improve the service.* To ensure food is nutritious and in line with the companys policies * To support the team with the daily service and complete general cleaning duties.Key skills:* A passion for high quality food.* People orientated with impeccable standards for quality, service, and presentation.* Strong knowledge of international cuisine with focus on fresh food.* Able to perform a wide range of cooking skills, such as baking, canapés, banqueting.* Able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.* A can-do attitude with a flexible, friendly, and positive approach to the business.The ideal candidate will have at least five years experience in catering.If you would like to work for an exciting company and are looking for a great next step in your career, then please apply to There will be opportunities to work in the holidays, topping up earnings, if desired.Employment is subject to pre-vetting, such as DBS check and references checks.Required skills
