Job Description

Production Operative - NightsLocation: Wimbledon, LondonSalary: £10.50 per hourShift Pattern: 5 nights over 6 (Sunday - Friday)Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (19000330)At Solstice we supply Londons top Restaurants, Hotels, Bars & Catering Companies with fresh seasonal produce 6-days a week.We are passionate about meticulously sourcing and selecting the finest ingredients, whether they are from the Lincolnshire Fens or the great Parisian market Rungis, or humble market gardens. Such emphatic sourcing means that our clients can relax in theknowledge that the essential groundwork has been done and that their order will be of unrivalled quality.Due to our continued growth, we are currently looking to recruit 7 full-time Production Operative/Machine Operators to work in our production facility in Wimbledon. As a Production Operative your role will involve peeling, cutting and dicing products toa high specification, using the latest specialist machinery, whilst keeping your workstation clean & tidy throughout your shift.We have 4 openings on our night shift. Your duties will include, but not limited to the following.Production Operative / Machine OperatorDuties:

  • Ensure all stock is used in accordance with the Company Stock rotation process.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of your work area by applying the Company Clean as you go policy at all times.
  • Prepare customer orders accurately, to customer requirements and to the production plan.
  • Report any shorts or damaged products.
  • Load finished products onto a pallet ensuring to avoid compression and damage to product.
  • Always adhere to Company Policies and Procedures.
Production Operative / Machine Operator Requirements:
  • Previous Machinery Operating Experience in a Production Environment (Essential)
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a chilled environment Very good computer skills.
  • Familiarity of working within a warehouse environment.
