I am currently recruiting for a Group Financial Controller to work closely with the Finance Director, overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions across various Group entities. This role is pivotal in leading and developing the finance team, ensuringthe production of timely and accurate management accounts, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. Day to Day of the role:

Lead and develop the finance team to ensure efficient delivery of day-to-day finance activities.
Produce monthly management accounts with detailed analysis and commentary.
Develop and maintain financial policies and ensure all accounting activities comply with regulations.
Monitor, control, and accurately forecast the company’s cash position.
Assist with the procurement of asset finance as needed.
Prepare VAT returns and other statutory reports.
Manage the annual audit process in collaboration with external accountants/auditors.
Review and implement appropriate risk controls.
Act as the Finance Representative on the Senior Leadership team.
Undertake ad-hoc tasks as required by the Board and the Finance Director.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
Strong leadership skills with experience in developing finance teams.
Expertise in producing management accounts and financial analysis.
Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
Experience in cash flow forecasting and risk management.
Familiarity with VAT and statutory reporting.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a senior leadership team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
