Job Description

Procurement CoordinatorEstablished more than four decades ago, my client has emerged as a dominant force in the fresh produce industry within the United Kingdom. Their core expertise lies in sourcing, producing, and distributing high-quality fresh produce to several of the country’stop-tier retailers. They attribute their success to the dedication and contributions of their exceptional team.They are currently seeking an exceptional Procurement Coordinator to join their dynamic Procurement Team. This role involves working five days a week, with occasional weekend shifts. The Procurement Coordinators play a crucial role in maintaining strongrelationships between growers, pickers, and packers. Your primary objective is to ensure seamless coordination and meet their customer demand.Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with Commercial Managers to manage all aspects of an efficient supply chain.
  • Creating Purchase Orders in the Prophet ERP system for incoming shipments.
  • Developing and maintaining supplier load plans, adjusting orders as needed to optimize service.
  • Coordinating with growers to verify volumes, arrival dates, and loaded varieties.
  • Working closely with the logistics and planning team to ensure accurate stock positions for all products.
  • Maintaining and updating master arrivals data, assisting in season reviews.
  • Providing weekly pricing and costing models promptly and accurately.
  • Handling grower finalisations and returns as instructed.
  • Processing fruit cost invoices as directed.
  • Collaborating with the Commercial and IT departments to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Participating in a weekend rota to facilitate information flow for sales, technical, and stocks teams.
