Role: Area Sales Manager / Account Manager / Business Development ManagerSector: Construction Supplies / Building MaterialsProduct: Passive Fire Protection / Insulation ManufacturerLocation: London & Southern RegionSalary: £30-38,000 Basic plus car plus bonus plus bens.We are recruiting an Area Sales position for our client - a market leading manufacturer of insulation and fire protection products. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to move into a sector of the construction supply chain that is absolutely booming.Area to be covered is Greater London and South East.- Are you a construction sales professional- Sales experience within a builders merchants or a specialist distributor- Are you in an Area Sales role with an insulation manufacturer, passive fire protection or selling associated building materials- Good knowledge of the sales process within the construction industryWe are looking to speak to sales professionals from the building materials, builders merchants or construction supply chain. With particular interest in speaking to those with a sales background within insulation / structural insulation, cladding and facades, building envelope, commercial & industrial interiors, interior fit out, drywall, drylining, any insulation related products - roofling insulation, wall insulation etc. Should anyone come with any sales experience within Passive Fire Protection this would be an obvious advantage but passive fire protection experience is be no mean essential. Experience conducting CPDs would also be advantageous. It is more about the person!The role is a technical yet commercial sales role - selling technical building materials with a technical application within the construction sector but the role is also about building relationships with the main contractors, sub contractors and specialist fire installers.- Good communicator- Good sales ability and influencer- Confident and capable relationship builder- Technical ability- Ability to understand new products and their application- Experience carrying out CPDs (preferable)- Working knowledge of the construction industry and the route to market- Sales experience within the construction sector (builders merchants, construction supplies, building materials, insulation, fire protection, cladding, facades, building envelope- Able to read site drawingsYou neednt be the finished article. This role is a progressional role and specific technical product training will be given as will professional development within a thriving sector.
