Van/Transit Driver /Multi-drop delivery driver/Warehouse OperativeLocation: Tamworth, StaffordshireStarting: A.S.A.P.Hours: Monday to Friday 6am-1530pm , (there may be days you will run over 3.30 pm and that will be class as overtime but most of the time you will finish at 3.30 pm)Distributor of thermoplastic sheet£24--25k Basic (neg), discretional bonus based on group, branch and individual performance.Experienced multi-drop Transit driver/warehouse operative holding a CPC and clean driving licence, driving 7.5 te+ vehicles (ideally 18te LGV).You will have good understanding of driving hours and loading regulations.You will have a professional approach,excellent communication skills, be numerate with good attention to detail. The role will also involve warehouse operative responsibilities. Experience using a FLT (ideally counterbalance or Reach would be ideal). As part of its expansion the company is recruiting a Night-shift Warehouse operative for their distribution centre in Chelmsford; if successfully recruited you will experience a first-rate working environment, free on-site parkingand numerous other benefits.THE ROLEKey responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:Provide an "on time and in good condition" delivery service.Ensure that the vehicle is loaded correctly and safely and that loads are secured without causing any damage.Be a good representative of the company when delivering goods presenting a courteous and pleasant manner at all times.Report any faults or accidents to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager and complete the necessary documentation in a timely manner.Assist with the picking of goods in preparation for loading.Assist with the correct unloading, checking and storage of stock.Report all stock discrepancies, damages and/or stock picking errors to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager.Attend regular Branch Staff meetings.Carry out all daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks.Correctly operate the Tachograph system.Perform regular cleaning of vehicles ensuring that vehicles are well presented.Carry out other duties as requested by the Warehouse and Distribution Manager.Observe all aspects of Health and Safety within the sales and warehouse environmentTHE CANDIDATE:The successful candidate will be an experienced multi-drop delivery driver/warehouse operative holding a CPC and clean driving licence, driving 7.5 te+ vehicles (ideally 18te LGV).You will have good understanding of driving hours and loading regulations.The role will also involve warehouse operative responsibilities.
