Web Developer Location: Remote (and Wilmslow) Hours of Work: 37.5 hours, Monday- Friday Salary: up to £30,000 per annum We are Citation. If you love writing code, getting involved in web projects and anything tech - this is the role for you! Were on the hunt for someone to help us keep our websites fresh and build customisation for us in WordPress. Youll be working across all websites in our division, writing code and making our websites user friendly, so therell be plenty to sink your teeth into. If youve got a strong understanding of PHP and its impact on websites, youre comfortable working with different marketing teams and youre a born problem-solver, wed love to hear from you. Youll be putting your technical skills to use in various situations in the role, including: * Working alongside our digital team and wider divisional marketing teams to roll out changes across all associated websites * Create and implement WordPress customisations * Resolving any defects that are raised on testing or live sites * Tracking new technologies and suggesting how we can introduce them into our websites * Working with our external web agency, as well as our internal design team to create new experiences and push them live on our websites * Other ad-hoc tasks, as they happen Sound like just the role for you Then heres what wed love to see from you: * A self-starter with a positive can-do attitude * A few years PHP experience * Experience of JavaScript * Experience with WordPress and building customisations * Knowledge of web servers * Strong understanding of Git * Experience developing websites with the end-user in mind And heres a few things that would be great to have, but arent essential: * Experience of UI/UX * Experience creating plugins for WordPress Why choose us Working for Citation you will have access to 25 days holiday PLUS your birthday off work, healthcare cash plans, the opportunity to purchase extra leave, local discounts, pension contributions and more!
