Specialist Speech and Language TherapistAurora Summerfields/Hanley/Cedars schools The Aurora Group is an innovative provider of education and care for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities with an ambitious growth plan.We are looking for an enthusiasticSpeech and Language Therapisttowork as part of a therapy team in our North West Aurora Schools. Aurora Summerfields, Hanley and Cedars provide flexible day placements for students aged 5 to 19 years with communication and associated difficulties or specific learning difficulties such asdyslexia,. The majority are on the autistic spectrum or have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning.Some have multiple diagnosis.When it comes to looking after our young people, we strive for excellence, with this in mind, we are lookingfor a Speech and Language Therapist to expand our communication friendly statutes and who shares our vision ; to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people to be happy and to make their way in the world.Working collaboratively with thesites and ELKLAN trained staff, you will support teams to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs. You will be responsible for holding a small speech and language therapycaseload for the three special schools and with the support of our experienced Clinical Lead and SENCo, you will also contribute to staff training, consultation and reflective practice.This is a rewarding role, with a great emphasis on wellbeing, this positionwould suit an enthusiastic individual, with a nurturing approach and the ability to make decisions, as well as manage their own workload.
