Job Description

Job Title: Assistant AccountantLocation: WilmslowContract Type: Permanent, Full-TimeSalary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annumJob Overview:We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join our clients finance team in Wilmslow. This role will primarily involve transactional and accounts payable responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals lookingto build a strong foundation in accounting.Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, payment runs, and supplier communication.
  • Assist in month-end close activities, such as journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting-related queries.
Requirements:
  • AAT qualification or working towards one is desirable.
  • Proven experience in transactional accounting, particularly in accounts payable.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
