We are thrilled to share the opportunity to join our client in Corby on a full-time, permanent contract!This role presents an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a leading manufacturer of high-quality, precision cutting equipment who have a global sales presence!This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with experience and skills in purchasing and who is looking to move into a role where they will have opportunity for long-term progression and development.Whats in it for you Salary between £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience. Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 Friday 08:00 - 16:00 (39hr working week). 25 days annual leave. Progression potential. Pension scheme.Responsibilities and duties: Handling and raising purchase orders. Sourcing manufactured parts and raw materials. Process ownership of ERP elements. Work closely with operations to plan weekly manufacturing requirements for both our UK and USA subsidiaries. Supplier performance management (measuring Quality, Delivery and Costs). Negotiating new and existing supplier contracts whilst building solid relationships. Manage ongoing KPI objectives.What are we looking for Minimum 3 years relevant purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. Purchasing qualifications will be an advantage. Must have solid experience using ERP systems. High levels of attention to detail and outstanding organisational skills. Ability to establish and develop relationships with internal and external sources. Must be computer literate and have great verbal and written communications skills. Must have experience in negotiating with suppliers. Can do attitude is a must.
