Job Description

A exciting opportunity exists for the right person to join a forward thinking, recovery, holistic, focused forensic multi-disciplinary team, as a band 5 registered nurse (registered mental health or learning disabilities nurse), providing assessment, and treatment to males over the age of 18 years, who are experiencing severe and enduring mental health issues and who have come into contact with the criminal justice system.The service users require a range of interventions to promote recovery and independence on a community to community pathway, delivered by a range of professionals which include Psychiatrists, Nursing, Psychologists, Occupational Therapy and Social Care.We are seeking proactive and confident people who are able to adapt to changing situations and environments, and who work well within a team of other people.As part of your role you will be expected too, care coordinate service users, work alongside the specialist community forensic team to aid and provide recovery, shift lead, risk assess and manage, clinically and managerially supervise staff, and expected to be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team, and contributing to the service overall in clinical developmentPine View is based in Hull and is a low secure forensic inpatient secure unit. Pine View is part of the Humber Centre which is a medium secure forensic unit. Hull is a vibrant city with opportunities to access Europe from within 3 miles of the unit, there is much to like about East Yorkshire, the Yorkshire Wolds, Moors, seaside resorts and much much more. Hull is the 2017 UK City of Culture and has seen much regeneration and a very creative calendar of events which makes being in Hull exciting and entertaining.As a valued staff member you can expect to receive a comprehensive induction into the Trust and to the team, supported education and prep and the delivery of structured clinical and managerial and and the service also offers a peer supervision and reflective practice forum. The team offers the opportunity to take a lead role in an area of interest within the service, and there are a range of training courses available to you through the trust training programme.The service runs over a 24hr/7 day a week, 365 days a year period and you will be rostered to work long days (07.00-19.30), or night shifts (19.00-07.30) which creates the opportunity to create a good work/life balance.
