Our client are looking for a Laboratory Technician to support the company quality function in the lab, conducting a variety of tests linked to both formulation and quality.This is a great opportunity for someone with experience as a Laboratory technician to join a company with strong growth and a friendly and relaxed culture.As Laboratory Technician you will work within the quality function and be responsible for the sampling and testing of raw material, in process and finished goods.This role of Laboratory Technician involves * Physical chemical and microbiological tests* Preparation of testing Media* Calibration and set up of lab equipment* Reporting on specification against test results* Documentation of processes as appropriate* Some liaison with customer primary via email* Maintain lab testing procedures and methods* Ensure external testing is conducted to schedule* Internal auditing and report writing* Ordering of lab supplies and approved laboratory equipmentThe Ideal candidate will have * Scientific or testing experience gained in a laboratory environment* Positive attitude* Experience in the food or chemical sectors in a similar role would be advantageous but not essentialConsortium Professional Recruitment Ltd are a professional level recruitment consultancy specialising in the delivery of high relevance recruitment services on behalf of our clients across the UK.
