Job Description

As Product Category Manager you will be responsible and accountable for the development, implementation and management of the agreed product range strategies in order to drive growth and profitability within the company. This role requiresthe individual to be experienced in working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and with good communication skills.

  • Create and sponsor roadmaps and generation plans to drive New Product Introduction (NPI) and product lifecycles
  • Strategic development of the assigned product categories to meet the demands of the UKI market following the NPI Gateway process. Working alongside the company development centres (UK & EMEIA) as well as utilising the company IP and technology where appropriate
  • Working with the Marketing and Sales teams to implement the go to market strategies for the assigned product categories in order to maximise sales opportunities, increase market share and surpass company targets for the creation of long term sales growthwithin UKI markets
  • Working with the procurement team to identify VAVE opportunities of the assigned product categories
  • Support Sales with customer ranges, promotional activity and range management to deliver profitable sales growth
  • Identification of market gaps, key value chain drivers, trends and customer profit potential
  • Ensure successful phase out of old products when introducing new ranges to the categories
  • Consistent and regular interface with customers in the market - voice of the customer
We would love to speak to anyone for the Product Category Manager position, who has the following experience:
  • Degree educated in Business / Marketing or other related topics
  • Have a minimum of 5 years experience in a product management role
  • Have experience in, and a strong grasp of Smart IoT Consumer Products
  • Have experience of working in a consumer branded business
  • Full and coherent understanding of competitors products and their positioning in the market
  • Proven track record within Smart IoT Consumer Products
  • Experience of developing products with overseas Suppliers
  • Managing multiple projects
