Job Description

A brilliant opportunity has arisen for you to join Guardian Warehousing. We are an experienced, expanding 3PL and ecommerce fulfilment provider in the Midlands. This independent organisation, which is part of the Bushell Investment Group, has a dynamic cultureand working environment. The role provides great opportunities for progression and training.Step into a role within our IT Team, as WMS Systems & Process Implementation Manager where you will be responsible, with a hands-on approach, for the implementation, technical configuration and management of systems and operational processes associated withthe WMS and OMS to maximize productivity and service levels.Key to this role will be the ability to understand operational requirements and to translate this into system specifications and configurations as well as being able to ensure all systems are tested and fit for purpose.As WMS Systems and Process Implementation Manager your responsibilities will be:

  • Manage the overall WMS function and the resources required to ensure that the WMS system performs in line with the needs of the business.
  • Manage and investigate root cause of problems to remove the need for repetitive live fixes.
  • Manage, prioritise, and arrange the fixes to problems.
  • Manage delivery of fixes to the production environment, including testing is carried out by all stakeholders.
  • Responsible for managing the priorities and ensuring that the deliverables are met.
  • Responsible for escalating issues with business process that impact the good running order of the WMS
  • Liaising with projects teams to sure smooth delivery of change and upgrades with minimal impact to business systems.
  • Liaise and negotiate practical solutions for the team with other IT and Business Functions.
  • Liaising and managing 3rd parties to ensure the good running of the system.
What we are looking for:
  • A track record in system and process implementations.
  • Good understanding and experience of complex Warehouse Operations.
  • Experience of implementing/supporting a WMS or ERP solution.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic, driven, and self-motivated, with a focus on results
