Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Micro Space Manager responsible for maximising retail sales and profit through the control of defined Macro and Micro information and data, for Blakemore Retail, and Blakemore Trade Partners. Located either in the WestMidlands, or Talbot Green (South Wales) with regular travel to retail stores, other depots, etc.A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd is the 60th largest privately owned businesses in the UK. The Blakemore Way is a means to define this culture and ensure that the longstanding values of theBlakemore family will continue to drive the companys growth for the next century.Some of the Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Maximising the total retail estate space as a sales and profit driver through effective design, macro spacing and layout
  • Developing the Spaceman reporting system in order to provide reports for both Trading and Sales teams
  • Inputting accurate dimensions of products into Spaceman
  • Producing accurate planograms with correct ranges, profiles and dimensions
  • Communication of planograms via appropriate media
  • Adherence to range review schedule
  • Category range review presentations at range review meetings
About you:
  • Holder of a Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
  • Educated to degree level preferred but not essential.
  • High level of numeracy and analysis ability is essential.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to demonstrate an ability to work independently
  • Has real drive to deliver results, is tenacious and self-motivated
  • Good Category knowledge and understanding is essential.
  • Previous space / category management experience (ideally the use of Spaceman) is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the capacity to build strong working relationships is essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
