Job Description

As the Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer you will provide an installation service of electrical, electromechanical and mechanical products for customers within the customer base; assist with and overcome technical on-site issues. Ensuringthe customer receives outstanding service in a professional and friendly manner. A large percentage of the work will require travelling and working away from home.

  • Installation of product in accordance with the agreed project parameters
  • Identification and resolution of product issues
  • Provide general product maintenance support for the company
  • Carry out site surveys pre-empting installation of proposed solutions, and identifying products required
  • To maintain records as appropriate
  • To provide potential sales and after sales leads as appropriate
  • To provide product support onsite, as and when required
  • Support and assist team members to achieve team and Company objectives
  • Maintain a professional technical support service to all customers
  • Suggesting improved methods and techniques
  • Document installation and service actions by completion of forms, logs, and records
  • Planning daily travel schedule
  • To operate according to the quality system.
To be successful in this role of Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:
  • Be degree qualified or relevant experience in Electronics
  • Have Mechanical technician qualification or locksmith / architectural ironmongery qualification / experience would be advantageous
  • Have a CSCS card
  • Previous experience with door or ironmongery installation / engineering
  • Technical understanding of architectural hardware
  • The ability to work in secure environments including prisons, police stations and secure childrens homes, where Security Clearance forms will be a necessity
  • The willingness to regularly work away from home
  • The ability to read circuit diagrams and understand how an access control system works
  • Be able to use a multi-meter to diagnose and repair faults within a system in a logical progression
  • Be able to work safely on energised systems usually at low voltages but with some mains terminations present
  • Be able to install equipment and terminate cables to a reliable standard
  • Be able to inspect and test portable electrical equipment in a competent manner (PAT Testing)
