Job Description

Due to continued growth, our client is looking for a Design Engineer. Responsible for the proactive management of resources based around business priorities for NPI and supporting modifications and cost down activities for existing products, in addition to:

  • Participate in Evaluation, Specification, Design, Development and Validation of products.
  • To carry out individual design tasks using a variety of tools including CAD.
  • Work on Design projects that objectives are completed within agreed cost/budget.
  • To follow the New Product Introduction Gateway process.
  • To carry out a validation of design; through prototype and production product testing.
  • Work with engineering/quality/testing staff on all projects and assist in after sales technical support.
To be successful in the role of Design Engineer, we would like to speak to anyone who has experience in the following:
  • Min. 2 years experience in a related Design/Mechanical Engineering role.
  • HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Design/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Exceptional ability in the use of CAD systems and other related software.
  • Strong knowledge of modern design and manufacturing methods.
  • Basic understanding of Jira/Confluence and AX operating systems.
