Job Description

You will support the Shift Manager in coordinating and monitoring the daily operations of the Team to ensure that required productivity, quality and accuracy levels are achieved.Client DetailsA leading established 3PL. with multiple sites across the UKDescriptionThe key responsibilities for the Shift Manager will be are:

  • Monitor job sheets and ensure that a daily spreadsheet is completed within the shift to produce a shift summary for the Shift Manager.
  • Counsel operatives on performance issues, such as absence, performance and disciplinary issues to optimise the performance of the team
  • Monitor day to day progress of the operation in terms of quality of work and efficiency of the job
  • Maintain Agency timesheets
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to fulfil role and assist the wider operation.
  • Deputise for the Repack Shift Manager when required
ProfileThe successful candidate will have the following requirements:
  • Able to work well with constantly varying deadlines and volumes
  • Able to problem solve issues and deliver effective solutions
  • Highly motivated individual, able to communicate effectively with the customer, management team, workforce and other functions on site
  • Experience in managing a Team
  • Working knowledge of a Repack operation would be an advantage
  • Flexible in approach to duties
